For over 60 years, EJ ’Ted’ Jordan pioneered full-range loudspeakers. These are some of his remarkable achievements.
1952 to 1961 – Goodmans Axiette, Axiette 8, Axiom 80. They are shown here with a Goodmans memo book mentioning the LS1000 electrostatic loudspeaker, developed to compete with the Quad ESL.

1964 – the Jordan-Watts Module, the world’s first alloy cone, full-range loudspeaker.
1966 – the Titanium Cone Loudspeaker, produced for Audio & Design Ltd and later sold as the Keith Monks Hypersonic.
1974 – the EJ Jordan Designs 50mm Module, originally used with a Dalesford bass unit, crossing over at 150 Hz.
The 50mm Module’s successor, the J51, designed with input from Patrick Handscombe.
1991 – J51 and J125 bass driver and 1st order crossover module.
1974 to 2005 – 50mm Module, J51, JX53 and JXR6 mid/treble alloy-cone drivers.

1993 – JX92 full-range loudspeaker, with a cutaway showing the unique axilinear suspension.
