A Tale of Two Customers

In a recent blog, we wrote about the Jordan Eikona DCR loudspeakers built by Ian, from the LencoHeaven forum. Ian was very pleased with the results and a visitor, Mark Manwaring-White of Malvern Audio Research, commented:

I walked in not having seen photos or anything and had quite a shock. First question I asked myself, how on earth do these work? Answer… quite staggeringly well actually!

In an email to us later, Mark added:

I was most impressed. Bang for buck they win against many speakers I could name.”

Ian is now going a stage further and constructing a full Jordan Array. This left his DCR enclosures in need of a new home. By coincidence, another customer had just bought two pairs of Eikonas with the intention of building DCRs. Claiming that his woodworking skills were limited to making a garden dibber in 1968, Phil looked a potential candidate for Ian’s enclosures, so we put our two customers in touch.

Phil was delighted:

I’m one very happy man … Ian turned up yesterday, a very hot Sunday (quite normal for Wales) and within minutes we were loving the music. The quality of the sound did not disappoint! Plus they brighten up the normally dark end of the room and we have more space. Absolutely love them! They are magical! “

He later added:

“My first week with these speakers was amazing, love everything about them. They have brought my music collection to life! Absolutely brilliant!

“Many thanks to Ian at Lenco Heaven who built the cabinets and kindly fitted the speakers.
Very grateful to EJ Jordan for putting me in touch with Ian and offering a positive solution to my lack of woodworking skills..

You can see the DCRs in their new home in the accompanying photos.

This was a very happy outcome and it highlights the level of service we aim to offer at EJ Jordan Designs. When you buy Eikonas from us and embark on a project, we want you to achieve great results. We support our customers with advice and we’re pleased to receive feedback and photos of the finished results.

Ted Jordan spent his life perfecting his loudspeakers. We are proud to continue his work and love hearing how his creations bring music to people’s ears.

PS Phil claims he and his wife chose the curtains to match the Eikonas. We’re not entirely sure if we believe him …
