Present
As E J Jordan progressed, Ted was able to develop his own range of bass units and a new, updated fullrange drive unit, the J92.
These - together with the 50mm module - went through a number of iterations, each being improved upon and refined. They appeared in a range of commercial speaker systems from Jordan-Watt, Elite Townshend and Electrofluidics in the UK and Credo in Sweden.
Ted is continuing his consultancy work. He has written a new version of the famous Jordan Loudspeaker Manual and is currently at work on a new line of research which is proving very encouraging
In recent years, Ted has been invited to give presentations and press interviews in America, China, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Tiawan. His standing in the industry has been summed up by the following unsolicted comments:
"Those who see, because of these eccentricities in Ted Jordan, a harmless but in any case a sad outsider, should be warned. Hardly any other developer can measure himself with the far-sightedness and resourcefulness of Ted Jordan. This shows especially when one compares his foundation articles published twenty-five years ago with the allegedly new research results of modern computer measuring methods." - Jurgen Heinzerling, Klang & Ton, September 1987
"While on matters British and some of their clever and efficient designs, it is perhaps worth mentioning the cone driver designs of that acoustic Titan, Edward Jordan. Jordan probably knows more about cone drivers than any other living person having devoted a lifetime to their design and manufacture." - David Manley, The Vacuum Tube Logic Book U.S.A. 1988.
