E J Jordan has been at the forefront of wideband and metal cone loudspeaker driver design for almost fifty years.

In recent years, E J Jordan wideband drivers have been manufactured in collaboration with a number of partners: Typhany/Vifa in Scandinavia, MarkAudio in Hong Kong and EAD in India.

Some of these companies continue to make drivers influenced by Ted's original designs. Meanwhile, Ted Jordan has been developing new ideas and the next generation of Jordan drivers will be made entirely in the UK in collaboration with one of Britain's oldest-established loudspeaker manufacturers - Lowther Loudspeakers Ltd.

Lowther has a world-wide reputation for hand-crafted, paper cone drivers based on the work of Paul Voigt. In recent years, the company expanded its range with the superb EX and DX drivers.

Similarly, E J Jordan pioneered the use of the wideband, alloy cone drive unit for over 50 years. From the original Jordan Watts module in the 60s to the more recent JX92 and the 50mm cone linear array systems, Ted Jordan's designs are renowned amongst music lovers around the world.

Between them, E J Jordan and Lowther have over 125 years experience in the manufacture of high end loudspeakers. They form a natural partnership with an unassailable reputation for bringing live music closer to home.
